Born in Leicester, Paul Wright has been an active painter since 2003. Wright studied illustration at Falmouth and graduated in 1995 beginning an auspicious career as an illustrator before aligning his focus towards oil painting.

Throughout his nearly 20-year career, he has developed a painterly and unmistakeable style of work; often depicting icons and admirable figures in a respectful way, whilst also capturing their spirit and essence through his use of texture, expressive strokes and vivid colour pallet.
