Josselyn Chau

"My textured paintings draw heavily on my own memories, daydreams and nightmares, as they transcend the boundaries between reality and fantasy with their ethereal qualities."

Josselyn Chau is a Chinese artist who practises in various mediums such as Painting, Photography and Calligraphy. Josselyn draws inspiration from her own memories, daydreams and nightmares.

Her studies of The History of Art, Materials and Technology at UCL are immediately evident in her work as she explores the use of various materials such as wine and salt.

The Hook's Take: Josselyn Chau's canvases use colour and texture with restraint, resulting in dramatic focal points for your walls.

Ready to hang:

At The Hook, a majority of our artwork comes to you expertly hand-framed and ready to hang, with frames chosen specifically with the artist and the artwork in mind. Artwork that is not framed is either a sculptural piece that is not meant to be hung on the wall, made from a material that cannot be framed, or due to the artist’s creative direction that the piece not be framed.

Please note final frames may vary slightly from the images shown.

If you have any questions about framing please don't hesitate to contact us.
